The Award and Dinner Night of Justice Udo Udoma Chambers was held last weekend at the exquisite Nelson Mandela Hall, Watbridge Hotels and Suites, Uyo.

The Chambers, which serves as a mock law firm, gives law students practical exposure to legal practice, advocacy, teamwork, mock trials, legal drafting, and client counseling, thereby preparing them for the demands of the legal profession.

At the event, Senator Ekong Sampson, who represented Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, announced that the management of Watbridge Hotels had approved the naming of a banquet hall in the ongoing Phase II of the Watbridge Hotels project after Sir Udo Udoma, whom he described as a foremost jurist.

Senator Sampson pledged the continued support of the hotel to the chamber and congratulated the Head of Chambers and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. InyeneObong Bassey, for the success of the event, while also charging members to be good ambassadors of the profession.

He was presented with an Award of Honor in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Justice Udo Udoma Chambers. Numerous other awards were also given to outstanding members of the chamber.
